New Presidency

New officers were voted in on Friday! Here is your club presidency for spring semester:

President: Lauren Braden

Vice President: Jessica Sharp

Treasurer: Clayton Meredith

Secretary: Brenda Swafford

Co-Faculty: Dr. John Dudgeon and Dr. Dave Peterson

The club will not meet again until spring semester. This may change but as of now the club is planning to have our meetings on Fridays at 1 pm in Graveley 150, right after the department colloquium. The colloquium is open to the public and students from all departments. 

Thanks for a great semester everyone! We hope you enjoy your break!  

Final Meeting

We apologize for the short notice but we will be having our final meeting of this year tomorrow, Friday December 10 at noon in Graveley 150. As many of you know, Julie will not be here next semester. Her position as president will be open for a new officer! Please come if you would like to be considered for the position or would like to vote on the new officer. This will be our final meeting for the year! See you there!

The club would like to extend a huge thank you to all those who made it to the Potlatch last Friday and those who donated to the auction! We would also like to thank Dr. Maschner for his excellent and entertaining auctioning abilities! We would also like to give our sincere thanks to the faculty and student who donated towards the bartender. The Club was able to raise nearly $1,000 for future use. With this money we hope to be able to send students to conferences around the nation which help them build networks, get acquainted with the professional world of anthropology and archaeology, and increase the recognition of on-going research here at Idaho State University. 

Thank you! We hope the students enjoy their holiday break and we hope everyone has a great Hanukkah, Christmas and New Years!

Holiday Mail for Heros

This holiday season, take just a minute to send a card to a solider, veteran or service member family who may be in need of some cheering up. Join the American Red Cross and mail a card with a warm thought. Many service members and families will be spending this holiday season away from each other, so help support them with this simple gesture.

Potlatch!

The Potlatch is almost here! If you have items for the donation please contact us asap! 

If you would like to volunteer to help with set up, clean up, or anything else please let us know! We really appreciate it! 

Remember to join us for dinner, prizes and our live raffle, called by Dr. Herbert Maschner, this Friday December 3rd at the Elks Lodge (410 S Main St., Pocatello) from 6 - 10! Here are some of the donated items for the auction: $50 gift card to Fred Meyer, 2 all day ski passes to Pebble Creek, growler and refill from the PVB, bowling games from Tough Guy lanes, a gourd from Becky, massage gift certificate and more!
